My Nan read this at my pops funeral. He died on my 21st birthday. I miss him. I love this poem, it’s so tough and strong. It helps me. 🙏🏼

It accents how a small gesture can be so meaningful in our lives. It also accents how your behavior can elicit such emotion in others. Shouldn't we all relate to others in a spirit of love and support.

Not one of you know anything about unconditional love!!! I’ve been hearing this for the past week at least 20 times a day?? how do I need to walk away from you? what I want to know is, what am I supposed to be walking away from?? RUclips,TikTok, social media? I never met you. I never talked to you. I don’t even know you, why are you harassing me with this? It makes absolutely no sense???? you want me to walk away from my computer I guess 😳. You don’t even love yourself. How can I expect you to love me when you don’t love yourself?? learn self love before you start accusing and judging others of not knowing when to walk away from a dumbass situation. You cannot teach me what unconditional love is!! you have no fucking clue so leave me the fuck alone. I have always known you were unattainable and that thought never left the back of my head. You need to leave me alone. You’re the one who needs to walk away.

Such a monumental piece of ART. I have it on the front of the window on my office door at work. And I try to read it (out loud) ALL THE TIME, trying to get the perfect cadence. So I came here to hear how it’s supposed to be done.

It bothers me that this type of romanticism got so many soldiers killed in WW1 senselessly.

As a 60 years old man who broke each and everyone of these rules, I can tell that they are true. Advice for the young: do not be fooled by anything else. Follow these rules by the letter. If it means losing somebody, so be it. They were not worthy.

Definitely going to share this one. I put lots of these into practice already, but the momento mori and negative visualization are new tools to my growing toolbox. Thank you!
